"To create a silk purse from a sow's ear" is often identified with people in search of a different plan for their home.  What ever the plan, complications abound: colors, sizes, materials etc.  Who should put the evolving schemes into finality?  Then comes the owners.  Agreement isn't always easy.  Angst will seep into the process because tastes  differ.  Our first attempt conquered the above obstacles for a myriad of reasons, but a focal player in our renovation voyage was Gil Foss of THE CORNER CABINET.  The three ingredients we found vital were creativity, listening and arbitration skills.  Anyone who has not been thru this "dream run" before will not understand the above; be prepared,
and if determined, our suggestion is to include Gil on your initial roster.  If you can agree to listen a lot and count to three several times, he can provide the rest including some quality product options.  Good luck!

 I just wanted to write a  note to thank you for all your help now that the renovation is finally done.  All the suggestions you made (enlarging the doorway, using a slide-in oven, lowing the half wall , using the darker color Cambria counter, etc.) have made for more efficient and stylish looking kitchen.  I don't have a vast amount of new space but what I have allows all the cooking and cleaning to be done much easier. If you think about it, a small kitchen needs to work a lot better than a large one. Thank you again and happy holidays to you and your family.

Gerry Turcotte did an outstanding job on my kitchen.  When I originally went  to Gerry I gave him a plan that I already had.  No sooner did he plug it into  the computer and then I called him and he changed it all!  He very graciously  made all the changes.  He came to my house and took perfect measurements, he was  always courteous, professional and on time.  I told him that I wanted the  molding above the cabinets to be heavy or substantial.  Gerry knew just what to  do.  He designed the way the moldings should look, he suggested under cabinet  moldings, and made several other suggestions as well.  The result is a kitchen  that people come in and stare at in awe.  I have received phone calls from  acquaintances who want to see my kitchen because a mutual friend told them how  gorgeous it came out.  I am indebted to Gerry.
